Root Question about Google Now for ICS

I have seen the Google Now for ICS post over on XDA. I want to try it out, but I have some questions about it first.

Has anyone done it with the EVO V? Does it work? Is it worth doing? Are there any problems with its functionality, or installation?

Thanks in advance.

It's a bit of a battery drainer to be honest...with the Evo V's battery, I'm not sure if I'd recommend it.

Honestly, if you're going to use it....perhaps try a 4.1 or 4.2 ROM with it. See if you like it. Unless you want to keep sense 3.6/ICS...Then you could TRY it, but I'm not sure if it works anymore or not.

Ah, just try it :)

Make a nandroid backup before doing it. If it doesn't work out, no harm, no foul. ;)

Google now functions to some degree but is quite hampered now compared to when that XDA article was written. It was once rather nice but is now no longer worth your time. Google voice search is a decent alternative for ICS.

Well if you go to the last pages of the XDA thread you will see the current state of Google now for ICS. I can save you the trouble however, its dead. If you want Google now cards then I suggest you try a JB rom.
