Question about gsm nexus

Quick question for those of you who use the galaxy nexus on tmobile. I just activated my monthly 4g sim card and ported my number over. In my notifications bar it says "3G" and I'm getting anywhere from 2.5-3.5 megs up and 1.5 megs down. Am I getting 4G or am I still getting 3g?

You're getting 3g speeds. It will display a "H" instead of 3g when connected to tmobile's "4g" or HSPA+ network.

Thanks dude. It is actually now saying 3g and every once in a while will say H. I guess that just means I'm only in a so-so coverage area.

It actually will say 3G if you aren't using data, to help save the battery. When you are using data it will switch over to H, if available, very quickly. It has nothing to do with your coverage.
