I finally got my Note 2 (YAYYYY) and I love it but one question...does anyone have any success using android file transfer on Mac and it recognizing the Note 2? It keeps saying that it doesn't recognize my phone...I was having the same issues with my S3 when it received the Jellybean update. TIA

Hi

The easy way to do file transfer (all file types) is to set up your phone as an FTP server (wireless) using an app such as File Expert or Solid Explorer or FTP Server ( a simple one from the olive tree) and use a client on your mac such as Filezilla FileZilla - The free FTP solution. This gets around all the Kies nonsense you otherwise would need.

Thanks I'll try this!

I was hoping someone got it to work. And yes I uninstalled Kies

Did you uninstall Kies using their own uninstaller that comes with the DMG file or did you simply delete from your Mac like a normal program? I had the same issue with AFT not working for me and I used the uninstaller that came with Kies and, magically, AFT worked. Happy now.

You also might wanna look at AirDroid since that's a really nice way to manage/transfer files to your Note 2.

Interesting...I just deleted it from my comp...do I just go to the kies site and uninstall that way?

It worked! Thanks so much!!

I have another question. How do I disable mobile data when I'm using wifi in my house? I know on my S3 the toggle icon was in the notifications slide down menu but how do I do it in the Note2? Thanks in advance :)
