Help Question about memory card

If I put in a new memory card will all of my apps still function and with the same settings? Correct me if I am wrong, but apps and there corresponding settings are stored internally on the phone's stotage, right?

Some apps install some data to the card, but the apps themselves are in the 748MB allocated in the phone. When we get FroYo, we will have the ability to install apps to the SD card, as long as the app supports it.

Ok thanks. So if I switch to a new memory card I may lose some of my custom settings, but not functionality of any apps themselves?

Depends. Like I said, some apps install some data to the SD card. For example, KO boxing installs the bulk of the game itself (54MB) on the SD card and the "app" sits in the phone's onboard memory pulling what it needs off the SD.

You need to go through the SD card and see what's stored there to know for sure.

Just copy your current card's folders to your pc's desktop via usb connection. Then install new card and transfer the files onto it in reverse fashion.
