Help Question about migrating apps to a Tablet

PHP87

Android Enthusiast
I just purchased an Android 4.1.1 Tablet (It's on a FedEx truck right now) and was wondering if I can use my paid apps from my LG Spirit on my Tablet, or do I have to purchase them again for the Tablet.

Or can I transfer the paid apps from my phone to my Tablet and use them on the Tablet instead of my Phone?

Thanks.

You can use them with out repaying. I have the same paid apps on both my phone and tablet. Google keeps track of all your purchases. when you set up the tablet. You can have Google automatically install the paid apps on the tablet.

Cool. Thanks for the quick answers. My Spirit is Rooted and I have Titanium backup so I should be good to go.

After you install titanium backup on your tablet copy the titanium backup folder from your phone to the same location on your tablet. After doing this you can restore apps+data on your tablet.

I just re-downloaded them from the Play Store.
It took a while, but I have almost 5GB of apps.

BTW, the tablet came with Android 4.2.2, not 4.1.1

It seems like 4.2.2 has a lot of features missing that are on 4.0.4

Example: The Home Screen doesn't have an option for the "Screen Wipe Effect" or to "Scroll Screens Circularly"

Maybe this is a stripped down version of 4.2.2 that was designed for this tablet?

The Tablet is a low-budget 8" Aiga M80 - 1.5 GHz ARM Quad Core Cortex A9 CPU w/3D Graphics, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, 8GB Storage, 1024x768 res., HDMI output, Provision for a 32 GB SD Card, 1.2MP front and 5MP rear camera, etc...

Antutu Benchmarks at about 11,000

It was just a bit over $100.00 delivered from China in about a week.

If I get 1 year use out of it, I'll be happy.

My old eyes needed a bigger screen than the 4.5" on my LG Spirit, so I will use the Spirit for mostly calls and texts while using the tablet for some apps.

It runs YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, NFL Rewind, etc...without any freezing and in HD

But I kind of prefer Android 4.0.4 over 4.2.2 as it seems to have more features and flexibility, at least on the version of 4.2.2 I have on my tablet.

Is it possible that the tablet manufacturer installs a partially stripped down version of 4.2.2 on their tablets?

I realize that this is in the wrong forum, but wanted to pick the brains of some of the experts here.

One bonus is that it came pre-rooted with the "Superuser" app already installed and I have also installed Titanium Backup along with most of my other apps.

Anyways, thanks to all that responded.
