I'm writing this late at night after a long day so I apologize if I'm less than clear & concise. ;-)
This just occurred to me.....I copied my sd card to my pc before starting the rooting process. When I had unlocked the bootloader and installed recovery I mistakenly thought I was rooted though I had not yet flashed the su file to complete the process. At that point I used MyBackup app to reinstall everything I had backed up with it. I got the apps, contacts, pics, & texts back but my widgets don't work, my custom background, and some of my app data(like my time recorder app data) is not on the phone. Not sure why because I thought MyBackup copied everything from the phones memory where the data should have been. If I have downloaded apps like TB & Root Explorer to the phone, post root, will those still be there(along with the app data for those apps) once I copy the sd card backup to the new card?
Another thought....I'm still using my original sd card as I planned on moving to the new sd card right after I make my nandroid backup and backup my current sd card but how can I get everything from my initial sd card backup as well as everything from the current state of my sd card onto the new card. I can't put both copies on the new card can I? Do I even need to try? If I'm supposed to backup my sd card to my pc prior to partitioning the new card was there rally a good reason to back it up before starting this whole process?
These questions may or may not be worth asking at this point but I'd rather ask a.....silly question now than to wait until I've permanently lost data and THEN think "why didn't I ask about that before this happened!"
Now I'm off to bed! I'll be curious to see if this all sounds ridiculous come the light of day.
