Root Question about OTA update & TitaniumBackup

Lurker
Hello, I am currently running Apex 1.4.1 with everything I need backed up through Clockwork & Titanium Backup. With all of this buzz about how nice the new moto design is, I would like to step away from the roms for a bit and see what Motorola has to offer with Gingerbread.

So what I am interested in doing is wiping my phone prior to an OTA update to have a clean phone. My question then is, do I just have to reinstall Titanium Backup from market once I am on 2.3.3 and procede to reinstall all of my applications?

Thank you for your help.

you won't be able to use TIBU...it's a root program and so far GB has not been rooted

this means no root programs will run on the new update

The above is true. However, once the build is rooted - and almost inevitably, it will be rooted - yes, all you have to do is backup your user apps + data, and then when you're on the rooted Gingerbread build, reinstall TiBu and batch restore them.
