Root Question about S-OFF, getting updates

I was just curious about something. My Incredible was rooted and I recently ran the RUU to get back to stock. I didn't run S-ON first so I currently have stock recovery and the stock ROM non rooted. My phone is still S-OFF though. Now I know there will probably never be another update released for the Incredible but I was wondering if S-OFF prevents you from receiving OTA updates or if it is just root that breaks them.


Anyone know?

No it doesn't effect them at all.
Being rooted or s-off in itself does not prevent ota updates, some roms will prevent them.
