Help Question about S2 and AT&T

Hello everyone, sorry if anyone had already made a thread like this...

So, I'm from Brazil and just got to the US and i'm going to stay here for a year.

I was thinking in buying a smartphone, and since the galaxy S2 looks like the best one around, that is my main choice.

The problem is: I heard AT&T made these 1 year plans here in the US, but after it finishes and I go back to Brazil, I won't be able to use it there, with my old SIM chip.

Anyone knows if that is true?

Or is there anything I can do to be able to use it here in the US and back in Brazil?

im pretty sure you just need a sim card to be able to use it, assuming youre on a GSM network in brazil. someone may want to make sure but i think you should be fine

So...if I get the AT&T one it will work with the Brazilian SIM chip?

Or should I get the international one?

If you get an AT&T model GS2, I don't believe it will work back in Brazil unless it is unlocked beforehand, once unlocked it should be fine/or you can get an International model which will already be GSM unlocked.

google up your carrier's frequency band in brazil. and then google up att's gs2 bands.
