Help Question about Social Networking ...

I just came over from an EVO and an super happy I took it back and got the Droid X. I am only missing one thing, Friend Stream. I was wondering if I am setting up Social Networking correctly or not because i can not find sync settings for how often it syncs. It seems like it does not update very often. This might be a known issue or complaint, forgive me if it is. Any other widgets I could use in place of Friend Stream/Social Networking?
