Root Question About Theming

[BlueIce5249]

Im running BBv4 w/ the Blue Energy theme and I want to change themes to this DroidForum/IncredibleForum 4th of July Theme Contest - Winners! - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum.

Do I have to wipe data and cache? Or can I just install from SD Card, backup, and go?

I tried installing the new theme both ways using CW and no luck. I keep getting put into a boot loop.

Which one are you trying to install? The second one doesn't look like it is compatible with FRF84b which is what BB 0.4 is based on...

I was trying to install the 1st one. Major pain, but I got it. I went bck to FRF84B w/ a wipe then bbv4 then that theme using CW recovery and wiping all the time. After all that, I may be keeping this past the 4th!

Can you still use LauncherPro with a theme? Or does the theme overwrite custom launchers?
