Root Question about trying new roms

Im kinda a newbie but i was looking at some of the new roms and was wanting to try out the new liquid GB 3.0. and i wasnt sure how to install it....Im currently rooted, and running liberty GB V0.8, System version 4.5.596.MB810Verizon.en.us, and basedband version BP_c_01.09.12P...can anyone help a brotha out.lol
 
im still kinda confused even though that guide seems pretty simple...so i would have to go back to stock froyo and re root my phone and all of that and then do it.. or do i just use the two files since im already rooted and what not.... cause im not familiar with all the sbf stuff..
 
ok so just to be clear on things..just download the two files from the thread that say part one and two and just flash them in recovery?
 
that's correct.. flash one directly after the other, from clockwork mod recovery.
 
no good...it starts the process when i select install part one and then it says installation aborted..and speaking of that was i supposed to do a wipe data, cache and everything....
 
Ok that might be it....so after that I can just get any. 602 build based rom or maybe even liquid gingerbread 3.0 and flash it right..
