Root Question about upgrading CM7 Rom

Ok im on the older RC2 of CM7 rom. If I upgrade to RC4 (or whatever they are at now, its been awhile since I looked) do I have to wipe all data/cache?

I'd really hate to wipe my phone again. Its the only thing that I HATE about switching Roms and stuff like that.

wipe cache, wipe dalvik, flash and enjoy (all after doing a nandroid of course)

You shouldn't have to wipe data/cache when going between CM7 ROMs; however, doing so eliminates any possibility that data from the previous ROM is affecting the stability of the new one. You can always flash RC4; if it works without problem, great. If not, wipe data and cache and try again.

Ended up wiping and re-doing it all. :S
