Question about youtube quality

Okay, so I know that the Epic doesn't have Youtube HD, but is there any way to get HD quality (by using something other than the youtube app maybe?). Also, we noticed when watching some youtube vids (in the store) that the video doesn't fill the screen either. Is there a setting to change this or is that as good as it gets on the Epic? My wife was pretty disappointed with the lack of HD and the picture size (I'm not as fussed about it, so I really asking for her sake).
 
The best u can do is HQ. Go to menu and turn it on while watching a video. Sometimes the video doesn't fill the screen because its not the same aspect ratio as the phone in landscape mode. Its not the fault of the Epic, its just not a match. Do a search for 'wager match trailer' and watch that in high quality. It fills up the entire screen in landscape mode.
 
Whats the easiest way to install the .apk file? Do I need to put the Android SDK on my PC then transfer it hooked up via USB?

Just plug your phone in to your computer then drag and drop and open it on your phone via "my files".

BTW is this youtube player the same as the one that comes with the Evo? It looks exactly the same. Thanks for the link : )

I just went to this forum on the browser on my phone and clicked the link to download it. I had to turn off some protection for non android market apps which I did (turned it back on after downloading) and it worked great.

It was so much easier than hooking it up to a computer.

& yes its the 1 thatz on the EVO but had that on my Moment for mths way before the EVO even dropped...

It doesn't default to HD, it defaults to HQ (which saves the hassle of having to do it manually every time you're watching it on a 3G connection).
