Question and answer app...?

Lurker
Here's the situation:

I work at the Post Office as a Clerk, and need to know literally hundreds upon hundreds of streets and what routes they are on. There are currently 35 city routes and 15 rural routes in my office, each with upwards of 25-30 streets, roads, lanes, circles, drives, ways and places. There is a book listing all of these in alphabetical order (called "The Scheme"), and I am expected to know it front to back. This isn't a problem for those who have been using it for 25 years, but to us noobs it is presenting a heck of a challenge.
I have tried flash cards, both traditional and virtual (Anki is a great flash card program!) and they work to an extent. I have a good portion of the Scheme down pat. There are many, however, that I just can't seem to lock into the old, mushy grey filing cabinet upstairs.
What I need is a programmable App that will hear what I say and respond with a likewise programmed response. Slap on the old Plantronics, turn on the "mystery app", and throw mail like a pro!

And now... A dramatic representation!

Me: Rustic Ridge Drive

Me: Beechwood Boulevard

Me: 400 North Main Street
Android: C1

Me: 600 North Main Street
Android: C11

..Etc...

Anyone heard of such a thing? Kind of like flash cards, but with speech recognition and audio response.

That is an interesting concept! Do all US postal offices work in this manner? I live in the UK and I don't think that these considerations are necessary as this is all automated.

Actually, the greater portion of the letter mail and most flats (magazines, large envelopes, etc.) do come into the office sorted by route. All parcels are sorted by hand, of which there are a couple thousand a day, generally. Also any letters or flats that for some reason could not be processed on automation have to be hand sorted, usually only equaling about 2-3% per day. Not a large percentage, but considering the thousands of pieces of mail coming through, it is still a pretty fair amount!
I am surprised nothing like this exists already, to tell you the truth. It seems it would be useful to have an app that could take a data set and allow searching via voice....

Sorry i dont have anything constructive to offer mate. Just wanted to offer my condolences lol. I have a mind like a sieve
