question for s pen power users that don't use a screen protector

just got off the phone with the local vzn store. the rep says my gn2 is ready for pickup. he tells me the demo phone he has been playing with is already showing scratches using the s pen. i dont use screen protectors. my question is, are any others that use the s pen alot without a screen protector having issues with scatching the display.

The s-pen has a rubber tip so it "in theory" should not scratch the screen, but I for one am not going to risk it; I got the spigen screen protector, works great and you don't even notice it is there.

I had the original note and never used a screen protector, no scratches. Had my note 2 for a couple of months now, no screen protector, no scratches. I don't think the s pen will scratch the screen if you use it properly. I'm guessing the display model was somewhat abused.

If the phone has any scratches, again its not likely due to the S-pen.

FWIW, I have the Note, and had a Zagg, which was thick and soft/gummy, which made it easier to write neatly with the pen...but was a little too soft. It made it feel like using a ball point pen on thick paper.

Just bought a MobC protector for my Note 2, as it seemed like I was getting some fine scratches. They seemed to have buffed out with a quick rubbing with the lint-free cloth. I had not planned on getting any covers for the 2, but this new MobC is a good blend of durable and suppleness, as the pen doesn't get "stuck" on the screen as it sometimes did with the Zagg. Handwriting is much cleaner than with the bar screen "for me".

I had the Zagg too, and it was the soft/gummy feeling that I disliked. I agree that the s-pen should not scratch the screen, it is the "other stuff" that I'm worried about. And if you have to go with a S.P. spigen is the best
