Root question from a noob

Ok! So I looked on this website: The Incredible List
Along the left-hand side of the page I noticed a link that says "MODs". I clicked on it, and a list of different changes that you can do to your ROM popped up. I have CM7, and I would love to be able to change the dialer that CM7 comes with. Is it as simple as taking the download zip file that you can download off of that website for the different dialer and flashing it, or do you have to do something else first? Thanks in advance for any replies!

Yes it's that simple as that, as long as the mod is compatible (it should say what roms are compatible). ALWAYS make a nandroid before flashing a mod.

It says it is for any sense ROM. So would it be compatible with CM7? What does it mean by "sense ROM"?

No CM7 is NOT a sense rom.

Ok.....maybe I'm being dense, but is there anyway to make it work then?

Sense roms, are roms that you see on that site where under the framework heading, it will say "sense".
CM7 is AOSP(vanilla). No sense mods will work on a vanilla rom.
You can probably find something similar on xda in the themes and apps section of the incredible or you can have someone port it for you.
