Help Question: How to Backup Your galaxy Nexus?

GTIMKV

Newbie
Today is my first day owning an Android device. I have been using iOS since 2008 (iPod Touch, iPhone, iPad), and these deviced will be backed up using iTunes to my computer (now with the added iCloud backup option). I wonder what's the usual way of backing up an Android device?

By the way, I am using Google services (contact, voice, music, mail, etc).

The great thing about most of the Google applications is that they sync with google. Your calendar, gmail, contacts are constantly syncing with google. You can verify by logging on to your google account and checking to make sure your data is on google. The other applications that you download for free and pay for are linked to your account. If you lose your phone or drop it down a hole you just log on to your google account on the new phone and all your data is downloaded to your new phone. It's great.
