Help Question - How to remove custom ROM???

I'm curious about removing my custom ROM, if I wanted to. I love it, but what if I want to go back to what the phone was before? How would I go about doing it?

Please respond,

Matt

Hey matt,

Before you flashed your ROM, did you pick the option to make a backup? This would back up your stock ROM and all settings. If not, you've gotta find the stock inspire rom and flash it back.

I don't think so. I'm flashing a new ROM right now. I'll check my backups after CM7 Nightly finishes.

I can do that, or I can just un-root. Which would suck.

Check one of the many threads on XDA that have links to the stock recovery image (RUU). Flash that and you'll be back to stock. You'll lose root but still have S-off so you can always flash a different ROM to get root back. If you want mostly stock + root, check out the TPC or *d.i.l.l.i.g.a.f* ROMs.
