I have a question if you get a texing app out of the market and want to use that one instead of the default texting how do you change it so you dont get a text from the default text and the new texting app you downloaded? thanks!

Well the text will always go to the stock text app, but what you do is turn the notification of the stock app and make sure you have your other text app notification turned on.

that was easy enough I didn't even think of that! I didn't think there was a way to change the stock apps. thank you
And make sure you take the Icon off the screen otherwise everytime you do get a text it will show a number saying you have 1 or 2 text, so just drag the stock icon off the screen

The after market texting apps.is an extension of the stock embedded app.and even though they are modified they still operate from the stock app.,just think of after market apps.as a way to modify it's current behavior to something that better fits what you want it to do.
The embedded text app.is one of those things you can't entirely get rid of even if rooted.All of your fundamental tasks features have to have a foundation from which to operate so they are perm. embedded in the os! As stated prior remove it from the home page and turn off the notification.

i have 2 questions 1 question is i have downloaded a couple themes from the market but i dont know how to install the to the phone so i can actually show off the theme...and my 2nd question is can i have a notification ringtone for each contact or is it just only 1 notification ringtone for all my contacts please help me...
You are actually Hi jacking another members thread not related to your question, you may want to open your own thread and I am sure someone will answer your question, or maybe a MOD can move this thread on it's own
