Question on service charges upon switching plans

I wanted to switch over to the $40 500MB LTE plan since I've noticed I really haven't been using anything close to 2.5GB from the $50 plan, but when I reached the review changes page, it posted the next service charge to be $69.33. I tried again with the $60 and that service charge would be $105.

I'm curious why the service charge would be so high if I commit any of these changes. I did find that some 4G promotional rates expired sometime early this year, but I don't understand why the changes are still offered at that rate, or why even if I went for the $60 plan I would get charged $105 on the next due date.

Anybody have any insight on why this is the case?

I had a similar issue. My fianc

I had a similar issue. My fiancée wanted to add hotspot to her account (via online), and she's on the $50 plan. After adding hotspot, the total was something ridiculous. I think it was $106 or something. The total should have been $65 for the first month, and $55 for the other months. Long story, short... I attempted to add the same service (with the same plan) on my account, and the total came up correctly.

My guess is there's something seriously wrong with Metro's website. I recommend calling Metro directly, or going to your favorite store to have them do it.

Call 611 and punch 0 2x and talk to a CSR and get the balance before changing. Also l heard but can't confirm, mpcs/tmo is adding a $70 to mpcs for the true unlimited data but if you already have it on the $60 plan your OK. But as soon as you change anything like hotspot you will need the $70 for unlimited data + fees for the hot spot or just find a hack that works for you and stay@ $60 as long as you can.
