Help Question on the SGS2's internal memory

Fixing stuff is not easy
Hi guys and gals!

I'm looking for my next Android phone. And the SGS2, when it comes to the US, is definitely looking like a possibility. But I have a question on the internal memory.

Can I put apps that can't be moved to the SD card (like Google's apps) on the internal 32GB storage of the SGS2? Or does it work just like an internal SD card, with the same restrictions as an SD card?

Thanks!

Hi

The built in task manger, can move apps , I tried moving a few and it looks like they are moved to the external sd card, not the built in memory, though i don't know what happens if you don't have an external sd card, maybe it then defaults to internal memory.

not yet there arent.. the next 'version' (?) of the SGS2 will have a 32gig version plus NFC support.. thats wat i read, anyway :P

My SGS2 16GB version has 2GB space for apps, the rest is for music, pictures, movies etc. Hope that helps

Tinderbox gave me the best probable answer.

What I was looking for was to see if I could move an app, like Google Maps, for example, to the internal area for music and such, like how most people can move apps to SD card. But if there is no coding to support it (meaning the apps just want to go to the actual SD card) and there's 2GB of internal ROM for apps, it should be fine.

Most apps default apps will go to SGS2 internal storage card. You still can move to SD-card using "Manage Applications" under your system setting. I reckon u have the apps go to your built-in memory as the apps runs faster on your built-in NandFlash memory. The performance of your apps will be greatly be seen.

For samsung Galaxy S user, should not concern about lack of memory as commpare to HTC phone only given 1GB built-in.
