Hi, I will buy a HTC Desire S soon. I'm buying the phone of somebody, most people make a deal for 24 months + mobile phone over t-mobile. So I can get the mobile phone a bit cheaper then in the shop. Some people like to lie and say it's brand new but it was used for a short period of time. I want my phone to be brand new. So is there a way to be sure, some way of checking it? Maybe a type of code that gives you the period of the mobile online, or stand-by? Any ideas? I know that my old Nokia had a code that you could use so the mobile could tell you how much time (H) he was used etc...

So in short is there a way to do this on the Adroid the Desire S? It would be great if anyone knows...

When I got mine, they opened the box in front of me and had to remove the plastic separating the battery from the internals of the phone - that was enough proof to me that it had never been switched on before.
