If I take a photo with my phones (Samsung Galaxy Ace 2) camera while outside of someone who is say a metre away but the background is bright, I find that the face of the person in the photo is really dark, and this is even when the flash has been used. Is there an option in settings I should be using that will brighten the faces of people in a photo that has a bright background but close objects are darker?

I saw someone today taking a group picture and I could see the faces on the phones screen all lit up so to speak, this doesn't appear to occur when I take a similar picture, any ideas please?

Set the device exposure to 0 . the zero is for both high and low . to access this settings go into the camera app>settings> tap the +/- and select 0
