Root Question

Ok, someone else has to have this phone even though its a few days old, when or if someone knows what techinique may work to root the phone please advise.

From what I understand, it's not really phone-specific, as it was used on more than just the Ascend 2 in the thread listed. This basically installs Superuser, Busybox, and su by flashing the zip from recovery, which you should be able to do without a custom recovery, just using stock recovery menu's update function. This was used before PlayfulGod's CWM recovery was created.

I tried but mine did not boot into the recovery menu
