Root Question

Let me start off by saying I am a noob and really have no idea about what to do. So I did the 1 click method above, and it seemed like it worked flawlessly, but I am not sure what to look for to see whether it worked or not. Also, what do I do to my phone now?

If it worked you should see Superuser in your app drawer. As far as what to do now, whatever you want:D. Seriously, check the all things root section for your phone, pay tons of attention to the instructions, and before you flash anything, make sure you make a nandroid backup.

No superuser. What should I do?

OK, I read through the method you used to root and I guess it doesn't install superuser. Search for it in the market, you should be able to install it. You could also try installing Titanium Backup (there is a free version). If it asks for superuser permissions when you open it then you are rooted.
