Root question???

Hi, I have a rooted desire running cm 7.2. i have installed simple2ext and this works a treat. but i am slowly finding memory on the phone filling up again. at the moment it sits at 33mb from 70mb! any ideas? the phone still runs smooth with no problems. can someone clarify is it wise move data to sd? some say no some say yes!

is there a way to run a stock rom but gain space via sd card? i did like the ruu from htc! just a thought!

thanks for reading

The pure stock ROM doesn't support a2sd scripts. However, rooted stock ROMs are modified to do this. The All Things Root Guide sticky post has a link to the ROM list at xda which has a section for these.

Unless you do the full data2sd thing the internal storage will fill up, just slower (moving dalvik to ext helps lot though). Personally I've never been tempted - people tried early versions, found it slower, I left it at that. But it's a matter of preference - you could nandroid then try.

I went the other way: S-Off and custom hboot to increase internal space. That won't work with a stock ROM though - Sense takes up too much space.
