Help Questions about Bluetooth and A2DP

Siriusly

Lurker
I have some questions about Bluetooth audio and the a2dp profile.
I want to know first, is audio streaming through Bluetooth considered a compressed signal such as MPEG or a raw linear, And is there any buffering going on between the host device and the receiver? What is the bit and sample rate ?

As these questions are really beyond the scope of an Android-specific forum such as this, I suggest that you take a look at the Bluetooth SIG page here, along with the linked paper Implementing Advanced Audio Distribution Profile.
