Questions about Telus 2.2 update

Just trying to decide which update to get for my desire. I was wondering if the following issues were fixed with the recently released telus 2.2 update:

- Edge data enabled now?

- louder earpiece volume during calls?

- improved battery life?

My battery had seemed to be draining faster prior to the update, but I think it was because of a few apps running in the background that I couldn't isolate. I did a factory reset after the 2.2 update and it's improved, but It might just be due to less Apps.

Can't comment on the others.

i bought an unlocked phone. and this morning i got an update notice from Telus for Android 2.2, will this update work on unlocked desires?

It shouldn't, but maybe refer to this thread? If you do decide to take the plunge just make sure you write down your mobile APN settings so that you can re-input them if necessary.

Can someone please post the new software specs for TELUS 2.2?

I need 2.2.1 (for vlingo) and I'm wondering if this might just have it.

Why is it that we can never get caught up?

Thanks dinaro. It's definitely a newer build. Does anyone know if that's 2.2.1?

Or more specifically, can anyone confirm if bluetooth still crash with vlingo?

It's 2.2, I think 2.2.1 is usually AOSP and non-Sense version of Froyo.

Miparo75, if you got a notice from Telus on the update then it should work fine, I've updated an OTA on an unlocked non-Telus phone before while on Telus.
