Help Questions about the camera

i know im starting to become paranoid but i just want to be sure on some things. Will taking a photo too close to an object with flash on (when the the photo becomes white) or will taking a photo of an lcd or any computer monitor damage the lens?

What can cause the camera to malfunction?

i just dont want my beautifully crafted piece of technology to be damaged on the first couple of days.

Bashing it, scratches on the lens, water etc. None of the things you mentioned should cause any damage to the camera.
