Help Quick Media Question From Note Fanatic

I turn off my phone when I go to work cause we can't have phones in the building, so I have to leave it in my car and don't want the battery to drain for no good reason. When I turn it back on it always has to do some sort of media scan, which is slightly annoying cause I use my Note for most of my music needs in my car and elsewhere. Is there a way to tell the Note not to do a media scan every time it boots up?


Also just would like to mention how nice the touchwhiz music player is. It has controls in the notification pulldown and a few other cool features that somehow are keeping me from using PowerAmp right now. Very nice.
 
You could put your phone into airplane mode and leave in car. Shouldn't use that much juice just sitting 'til you get out from work.
 
I did that with my Evos but for the Note it ends up using like 5-10% of battery even though it's in airplane mode. I'd much rather do airplane mode really but I have to fiddle with apps to find out which one is being stupid.

how long are you working that your battery loses 95% of its charge at idle? I can keep my note on all day long and use it and still in 12-14 hours WITH use its not even at 5% battery
 
Usually 8 or so hours, but sometimes it's 15 or 16. I'm assuming there was an app running wild in the background or something.

I left it on airplane just now in the car with 69% so I'll see how it goes when I get off at 11.

Im sure most of us took it as you left it in the car with 100% battery (or close to it), not 3/4 charge
 
Yeah I account for the fake 5% that happens at times at the top of the charge. Also I usually do have 90+% when I get to work but it still drains a bit more than it did for my Evos. Today was a rare occurance.
