So I flashed the 3.70 supersonic ruu, my hboot was 2.2 before I was expecting it to be 2.10 after the flash. Instead I got 0.79 or.97 I forgot which one but, why don't I have 2.10?Is it because I didn't do unrevoked 3.3?

And yes I have:1) Verify you still have s-off (you should)
yes
2) Verify you still have a custom recovery (might not)
yes I do I have flashed several things today from recovery today on two different evo's including that radio combo pack from xda. plus riptides latest
3) Verify your rom is still rooted:
a) Open a terminal emulator
b) Type "su" without quotes, then enter
c) If it turns from $ to #, you're good
can I do this from phone? Is there an app?
edit just did T.E. and got #
You say you have the latest radios. Does that mean you have baseband 2.15.00.11.19 if you go to menu->settings->about phone->software information? This was a PC36IMG that you flashed, not a RUU (RUU is an exe), right? I've seen it do odd things to hboot when you already have root, but I'd be surprised if it actually updated the radios.
. Anyway, I think you're in good shape. I'll see if I can track down how you managed to get 0.97 hboot.Huh, that sounds about normal to me. I have no idea how you got hboot 0.97. Not that it matters, *that* much. I'm going to go look into it now. The only thing I would say is next time, there's no need to make a nandroid between flashing the new rom and the radios if you're going to make one right after flashing the radios. Nandroid doesn't backup radios/pri/nv/wimax. If you want to go back to where you were before, you have to restore a nandroid and downgrade the radios manually.
Anyway, I totally misunderstood what you meant by flashing the RUU. That generally means you flashed a PC36IMG (like unrooting) or ran the actual RUU exe. I don't know why teshxx decided to call that a RUU. Technically, it's extracted from it, but it makes things confusing. Anyway, I think you're in good shape. I'll see if I can track down how you managed to get 0.97 hboot.
Thanks alot my phone is functioning fine. I'm wondering can I flash Myn's 5 or should I wait? And I was doing someone else's phone today thats when I noticed the 0.97 his is working fine too! It just kinda through me that's why I asked. Thanks alot!
I'm thinking you must have gotten it from the combo update, but I'm pretty sure that's not supposed to include hboot, and even if it did, you shouldn't be able to downgrade hboot 2.02 and up (though, there are ways to if you have an older phone). For anyone else that reads this, if you didn't already have hboot 0.97, did your hboot version change to it when flashing the combo update? I already had hboot 0.97, so I can't verify. It would be nice to know if this combo update is doing this somehow. Again, it doesn't really matter. You're fine, go ahead and continue with whatever you'd like now.
I did the combo @ 5 in the morning. But if I'm not mistaken I did have 2.10 before that because, I did look after I dl'd the stock rom. I think it is coming from there. I put the same stock rom on my cousin phone the other day but, not the radios I'm going to call and verify.
Heck, if we had known how to change the hboot "on purpose" back when Unrevoked was unable to root 2.02 and up, sure would have made things a lot easier!!!!....hahaha!
If you had hboot 2.10 before flashing the combo update, you would have already had the latest radios. You must have had 2.02 or 0.97 already. Either that or you flashed the new radios and already had them... What was your sw version before?
. I certainly want to find out what the heck happened, though. These out of the ordinary cases get me curious, hehe.
