Root quick question about upgrade process - don't kill me

to make a long story short... i downgraded my phone but now i do not see the popup for the 2.2 update. Just wondering if i need to install the May update in order to see the upgrade to 2.2 popup window. My firmware says its up to date but i know thats a lie.

did i screw up my phone somehow?

Check your software version first. -> settings -> about -> software (I think) If it doesn't say 2.2, then download the RUU update and install it. It really is very simple.

That happened to me as well and I freaked out. In my case, I just needed the small 2 meg patch...

thanks... i realized i had to use the May zip to update the version number so i could continue. I was hoping i could do the over the air update but so far its still saying my phone is up to date. I'll work around it
