Root Quick question about upgrading to DJ05 Stock

Following the directions here:

[RELEASE] DJ05 rom, kernel, radio - xda-developers

Everything makes sense and I've got all the tools and files I need to do this, but the author says "Data wipe is essential" - What exactly does he mean by this? The two options I see closest to this are "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition".

Apologies again for being so wet behind the ears, assistance very much appreciated!

Wipe cache partition

The best practice would be to wipe data and wipe cache in cwr... .most don't wipe anything and are fine....however when you.get in a habit of not doing this and aosp or vanilla rims start dropping (hopefully sooner than later) you.get yourself in trouble and have to restore or have a screwy setup

Really with titanium backup and ur sdcard it shouldn't take but a few minutes after wiping data to get back to a similar setup

Great, thanks for the advice guys. I went ahead and did both wipes and DJ05 seems to be working like a charm so far. Didn't bother with TiBu as I actually had very few apps I really wanted to keep anyway, and the rest were easy enough to re-download or pull from my sdcard :)
