Root Quick Question

[I luv trolling]

before i begin, id like to mention im not exactly android savvy so be patient,
due to some misguided build.prop editing, I now recieve a force close error whenever attempting to make a phone call or when one is recieved. can this issue be fixed through "flashing" a new rom or does it have to be a stock rom? Btw I am rooted and have cwm installed.

just flash a new rom or if you have a backup of your current rom format /system then advanced restored /system

So to flash a new rom I just have to copy it onto my sd card and start cwm correct?

I flashed the admired monster 5.3 Tom on my device but now the dialer is gone altogether. When I use market calling applications get force close...

The worst part is, my nandroid backup has the broken dialer

Ill try this later when I get home. I hope it works...really don't wanna go and pay another 10.60 for a new phone if I can fix it.
