quick questions

i know these questions were probably answered, but i was wondering if you guys can help me out:

1) how is the sound quality for the hd? (using headphones, i would like to use it as a music player)

2) do you think it is worth it to get the hd or should i wait? (i am with telus canada)

1) Don't expect the sound to be the best, but personally I think it's pretty good. It all depends on the type of headphones you're using... I'm using Shure headphones and I'm quite satisfied by the music coming out of my HD!

2) What do you want to wait for? You should buy something you like, otherwise don't. People always ask if they should wait... If it comes to technology, there is no point in waiting or you might as well wait your entire life! Technology evolves way too fast to wait.

So if you like the HD you should definitely buy it, but asking for an opinion on an HD forum is not the best thing to do since most of us are HD lovers ;-)

the sound was my main concern. the hd is finally being released in canada in february and i am a bit worried that it may feel dated. been looking forward to it for months

In my opinion the sound is just as good as the iPhone I had before my DHD, but as wants already been said it does depend on the headphone you use. The standard ones are not all that bad to be honest.


As for waiting I agree there’s no point because you’ll wait forever, but you could try and get the shortest contract possible so you’re not tied in for a long time. That way if something does come out that’s miles better you don’t need to wait long.​
