Root Quick Roms Question

I have noticed that on every rom on Android 2.3 that I have installed my triumph, I cannot send texts messages that are long, it says that it was sent, but my friends wont receive them

What I did to test this out is when I noticed the problem when I was on CM7 by Whysorz
Is I sent a message to a friend, that was long, they didn't receive it, I went back to a backup of the stock on 2.2 and they did
Then I tried out on FroyoCream Sandwhich 2.2 and they received the text
Right now I'm on a MIUI that is 2.3.7 and I tried again but they didn't receive

I don't know if anyone else is having this or if someone knows how to fix it but if someone does, Can you help me? Thanks

It doesn't split, its like I think about 50 charactors long they wont receive, so I manually have to split it, but the problem is, I don't know if the received it or not, this problem only seems to happen like I said while I'm on 2.3 based roms

well i just tested this im running cm7 reloaded final and it seems that i am able to send a text of 160 characters long. which is the longest that can be type before it splits into two messages. if you go over the 160 none of the message would the recipient receive but it will say sent on your phone. so stop at 160 or they wont receive none of it. i don't know what version of whyzors u tried but if you didn't try final try it.

While you're in the messages app press the menu button and go into the messages settings and press split messages. Hope this helps.

On his Final 3-25 I did it and still can't send them

I tried looking for it on MIUI but I can't find it
Now no one gets them, says I'v sent them but they say they don't get them

On MIUI, the stock messaging app doesn't have the option to split long text messages. You have to download a third party messaging app like Handcent to get your long messages split. For me its one of the biggest annoyances about MIUI.

But it has something to do with my android versingon though, I don't think its the fact on splitting the txt since I can send the sane exact miessage if I was on a Froyo rom and they will receive the text but when I'm a on gingerbread based I get this prob
