Hello, I am using the Lg Optimus V (just got it) and have not had any problems but do have something i wanted to turn off if possible. When i use the quick search box by pressing the search key the google search box comes up and i can search a term etc with out any suggestions coming up. I have turned off all the prompts, both in the search settings and google preferences. If though after seeing the results i hit the search key (bottom right on phone) again another page comes up with a qwerty (I think) text box. When i type in a term here i get all sorts of suggestions coming up below the text line and I cannot see how to disable this. There is no google symbol next to this text box. I can though just stay on the google page and type, that is not a problem, but thought there might be a way to sort this out. . There is also the voice search function symbol next to the text line.
Apart from that in the two days i have had the phone i have had no connection problems, activation worries (virgin pay as you go) and it certainly is a step up from the $20.00 phone i was using!
