Help Quickest way to turn Bluetooth on and off

Having discovered that having the Bluetooth enabled all the time more than halves my battery life, I now keep Bluetooth turned off. However, when I get in the car I turn it on. Using the built-in apps to do this is a bit convoluted.

What is the quickest way to enable and disable Bluetooth on the HTC Desire?

Search in the market for curvefish. They do a variety of switches and they look a lot nicer than the stock ones :)

Hi, I use an app that turns bluetooth on/off when i connect/disconnet phone from charger. SO when i get in the car, i conect to charger and this automatically turns bluetooth on and letys phone sync with car kit. the opposite obviously happens when i get out of the car.

the app is called "bluetooth power manager" i think

or if you are getting in your car at the same time each day (e.g for a commute) you can use timeriffic to start bluetooth each day at a particular time and to switch it off when you would normally be home.

I'd personally recommend an app called Quick Settings. It gives you multiple toggle options, including Bluetooth. They can all be accessed when you hold the search button, so it doesn't take up room on your screens. :)

I have this app but it requires you to open up the app....THEN toggle the BT. Is there a way to have something on the screen or the dock that simply toggles the BT with one touch? Which app or stock function will let me do this? I just want a button on my phone that turns the BT on and off with one touch of that button.
