friends when i try 2 text and search in contacts all gmail account contacts appear including phone contacts which is not needed how can i get rid of gmail contacts.

Help quite dumb showing gmail contacts while texting

Use handcent instead of stock app, then in the handcent send settings select show contacts with mobile number only.
This will still keep all your emails contacts on the phone but only give you the mobile options when texting
