Hi Eric, yesterday i wrote to manufacturer here is wht they say :

can this item play Films with AC3 or DTS sound and put ito out through the optical cable to my receiver ?

Yes, it can code AC3 and DTS, and it has optical output. What do you mean about receiver? Do you mean a ampliticador? If yes, then ,it is ok.

What does i need to do this and where can i get further software or firmware upate for this box ?

For App software, you can update yourself from the Play Store. For firmware, if you order from us on bulk, we will send you new firmware once we have for upgrade.

Now i asked for their firmware will tell u what they answer.

on the amplifier shows that a signal digital - but on the indicator doesn't show that DTS a signal!
to you the program of updating should give?
I will look forward to hearing!
 
hi i have this same box soon as i hooked up screen wont stop rolling need help

I purchased this Google tv box, R-Box with rockchip 2918 chipset. After searching all internet I found nothing about this device, so I decide to write my own review and hopefully find some help from more experinced android users (this is my first android device ever).

After playing with the device I found it very good! It played all the videos fine ( mkv 1080 played from an external usb hard disc) with the original video player of the device. My samsung tv says that the output is 1280

I need to change the output resolution from 1280x720 to 1280x1024. How to do that?

Also, can anybody provide the RK2918 VGA driver? There are some boxes out with VGA output...

it is original firmware, coming with the box, as i did receive it 4 days ago only.

I think what you got is a bluetooth keyboard with pointing device.

This also happened to me and I was able to return and exchange it for a wireless keyboard and mouse.

Only bluetooth needs to be "paired".

Hi everyone need help on finding a new update firmware on my tv box it seems mine has no support at all, i have been struggling to find the same model like mine then i saw this thread..i think my tvbox is almost the same with the others here.

I have questions about your particular box:

1. Is its wi-fi functioning as advertised?
2. Are games installed/included?

its wi-fi is functioning, for the games you have to install it, i have tried angry bird and it works well. sorry for the very late reply
 
hi everyone by the ways see below whats inside mt cdrking kxi series. i had to open it up due to the fact that i cant find the reset button and to my surprise there is another button inside besides the power button which is hidden by the front cover.
