Radio Shack dropped the upgrade price on the Epic to 89.99 a couple weeks ago, now this week it's down again to 49.99, so I bought it. Should I be worried about reasons behind these rapid price drops or is it just an incredible deal?

if the phone is brand new and came in original packaging, whats there to worry about man!? You got yourself a great deal on a great phone! I thought a new contract at 149.99 through amazon was a great deal!

and the new evo 3d is coming.. still they dont lower the price...

I used to work at a radioshack in college... and pretty much they would lower prices on phones that are hot, the best they can. They get a real good deal on their contracts with the cell phone carriers if they move certain product. So if they can give you a good deal on an Epic, its just to fill their pockets.

They also lower the price on discontinued models just to get rid of stock for future handsets, and they also lower prices to compete with competitor stores, or they are just plain having a promotion on a great phone to try to get more people into the store to maybe pick up their junk no one likes they wanna sell (which i considered everything in the store haha).

That is how my radio shack was run...
