Root Radio update question

I want to update my radio so I can install the latest sky raider Rom. I remember reading that once you update the radio you will be stuck with it. My question is if VZW's OTA has a slightly different radio in it will I still be able to install that one.

you can go back to the old radio by reverting to the old Hboot thanks to my friend Adrynalyn

you dont HAVE to install the OTA leak radio to use skyraider, it works great for me on the stock radio..
