Root Radio Update

-Mike-

Android Enthusiast
Now that I've accomplished s-off and twrp recovery, I want to move forward with updating my radio. (which got me here in the 1st place)

Here are my current specs-
s-off dirty racun
hboot 1.15.2222
Radio 1.05.11.060
6
software version 1.22.651.3710RD
hardware 003
android version 4.0.3
HTC sense 4.0
baseband 1.05.11.0606
build 1.22.651.3 CL78702 release keys
PRI version 2.45.003

what here needs to be fixed/updated?

can I flash some ROMs before fixing/updating without losing the ROM during the process? what about losing twrp or re-locking my device.

thanks in advance for continuing to feed my new addiction.

Flash a Sense ROM then in settings update PRL and profile. You can flash radios in recovery or bootloader but I don't think it's super necessary. Updating radios shouldn't affect anything about your ROM or TWRP aside from radio signals, but you can't see that. :-)

Glad you finally got your s-off!

im on stock rom. did prl update with no probs. profile wouldnt update. i read through Capthrowbacks thread over at the mik and there was a member with my exact problem. i believe he was told to update radios and firmware together and it would fix the issue. also explained further saying the two were going to play nice together because they werent updated together originally. my device wanted to update when i first got connected. i declined knowing i had panned to root. maybe i should have taken OTA. but i cant deal with having to restart my phone 1-5 times a day and hoping that data will actually connect. i just want to get this stuff done asap so I can move forward with installing a custom rom and doing all the fun stuffs.

just make sure when you do update that you get the right version of firmware, going backwards equal brick!

edit: Ok, sorry. I see that was helpful as a bag of bricks. that is what you are asking, what to update and what to use.

Well, I don't know. I was on the lower h boot and I don't even remember what I used to update my firmware and radios.

Definitely get it right though, don't get impatient at this point, please. Confirm it with one of the guides or Captain throwback before you flash, for sure!

my Baseband is 1.12.11.0809
my Build is 2.13.651.1 CL99866 release-keys

I think that is the latest, I got my firmware and radio from the MIK in the captains thread, as well.

Still confirm, just giving info. :D

some reading for you,

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=27266927

and I believe that the new radios and firmware you want are in this post. [FIRMWARE][S-OFF/1.12 HBOOT ONLY] Jewel Firmware Collection - Latest Radio: 1.12.11.0809

BUT, be safe and confirm it.

You are correct Sir!!

Go to the second link above, it will take you to the Captain Throwback's thread over at themikmik. The very first link at the top of the page is the one you want named "Full Firmware zip"

First get a good charge on your phone, this is important. ;)

Download that file, then rename it to read exactly: PJ75IMG.zip, and place it on the root of your SD card.
Power down completely.
Boot into the bootloader (volume down and power)
When prompted to update, press volume up.

DO NOT touch anything while it flashes. Let it do it's thing.

Reboot, then remove the file from your SD card.

Go to Settings / About Phone / Software Info / More and the baseband is your new radio version.

Or you could just bootback into the bootloader and it shows it there. :p

Thanks Rocky!

am I correct in thinking that that would be the root of the External sd card? Mindful of the terminology confusion with this phone. :)

And by root, of course you mean not in any folders...

You are correct again Sir!!

Yes the external SD card is where this file needs to be.

Anytime a PJ75IMG file needs to be flashed, it always happens from the root of the external SD card. :)

Thanks a million to everyone once again. This was the easiest of all the tasks. It took a whole 5 seconds to load and update. I guess I'm on my way to flashing some new ROMs!!

Might even get to play some Black Ops tonite.... LOL!
