Root Radio, WiMax, Pri and NV Combo

I'm a bit of a n00b seeking help from some experienced users. I've been rooted for about 8 months, but I've only been using the froyo stock rom. I finally decided to flash the gb 2.3.3 rom. That was successful but I haven't recovered my stuff yet. I'm confused about what to do about the radios. Should I flash the radio, wimax, etc and if so, should I do all of them using the combo, or just flash maybe the radio and wimax? I've found so much info regarding this, but mostly it's people that are using something OTHER than the stock rom. That's where my confusion starts. I'd appreciate any help, and I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered already.

it is not necessary to upgrde you radios. some have reported that it has helped with better signal and faster 3g and thus better battery life. some it was the opposite. and some like me have seen no difference at all. but before you do decide to flash any radios please read this:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...before-you-flash-your-radios-read-thread.html. now do not let the warnings scare you. it is pretty easy to flash the radios. i just want to let you know what is involved. just make sure to have a nandroid backup with your wimax keys saved. and also make sure that you have plenty of battery and patience. whatever you do do not pull the battery out while it is in progress of flashing the radios. that is a sure way to brick your phone.
