Radioshack Preorder - Details!!!

Anyone know yet what the full outright price will be with RS?

When i preordered this morning they said they did not receive that information yet.

3 RS stores around me said they would sell the phone outright for the same price sprint does. they all told me that they never charge more for a phone full price than the carrier does.

i preordered at bb but since i am paying outright i am going to rs tomorrow to pre order there and save some $$

Got my preorder in at my local RS yesterday! I was the first to even bring up the topic to them as the rep had to read through a 10 page packet on how to ring it up, haha. Both he and the manager were extremely courteous though and expressed their excitement for me.

i was originally gonna go pre order at BB, but seems that many had an easy time doing it at RS...so looks like ill being going to RS next week sometime to pre order.

Gonna go today to make sure everything is cool with my Pre-order with the rep I personally know, gonna also trade in my pair of centros for extra credit - hopefully they do it at the store and no only online -

This is turning into a huge thread - thanks button is on the bottom

Just a quick warning for anybody who isn't currently a Sprint customer and wants to pre-order at RS: I went in there to pre-order two Evo (that'd be the plural, right?) and at first the rep didn't even know what phone I was talking about. After asking his manager, who then came out and had to load up RS' website to A) Confirm that the phone existed, and B) Confirm that they were doing a pre-order for it. After doing all that, he asked for my Sprint account number, and when I told him that I was an AT&T customer who planned on switching to Sprint when I actually purchased the phone on the 4th, he told me that I couldn't pre-order and get the $199 pricing since you need to "sign up for a new 2 year agreement and an everything data plan" (he was literally reading this verbatim off his screen). I told him that that's what I planned to do upon actually purchasing the phone and I all that I wanted to do at the moment was ensure that I could get one from them on launch day, but the manager insisted that what I was suggesting was impossible and I couldn't pre-order the phone. So I left there immensely frustrated and with no pre-order, which is a bit of a shame since I really would have liked a $20 accessory credit...

Thankfully though, there's a Best Buy that's literally 2 minutes away from the RS I was at, and I was able to go there and pre-order my Evo with no issues whatsoever.

Just something to keep in mind if you're not on Sprint and want to pre-order at RS.

I am an ATT customer currently who is switching over to Sprint and I can assure you I did not have this issue. RS did have to run a credit check but I was able to pre-order with no problems.

My only recommendation to you is to go to a different RadioShack and talk to them about it. Some are more informed than others.

Hmm...looks like it was just my Radio Shack then...oh well, I already have my pre-order set at Best Buy, so I'm fine. Here's hoping nobody else runs into the same issue as I did!

ok so I just got my official RS preorder documents, and they took my pair of centros for an extra credit of $45, not bad for devices that were collecting dust...so check this out

$50 preorder
$45 credit for devices
$20 credit for acessories

$115 towards phone and I think I may stil have a phone in the closet to trade some sanyo!

PS - 3 others already preordered as well there, very excited from what I heard but be Warned to all : if you do not pick up phone in 2 days they will sell the device away!

Did you ever find out what kind of accessories they would have there?

RadioShack Sales Associate Here.

So ask away any questions you have. Maybe I should make a new topic for this ? What do you guys say ?

2nd at my Radio Shack amazingly. I figured no one else would have pre-ordered here. I asked about the $20 accessory credit and its all go, which is great. I was worried the workers might not know what's going on.

How does it work to get money when you trade in your phone? I have 2 AT&T phones I could trade in. Is it only for sprint phones?

RadioShack - Trade-In Program

i preordered mine at RS yesterday here in lacey. the guys there didnt know much about the prorder program so they had to call their bosses and managers in other stores. they didnt say anything about the $20 accessories program. i might go back up there today and see what the deal is.

ill print off the ad from the site and see what they have to say about that.

oh I forgot to mention the $10 receipt coupon for doing the survey (located at the bottom of the preorder!) dam make that 125 and the the other phone, this is good stuff!!!

just came from my RS they told me that i couldnt preorder the phone because i am not in my upgrade period. they said i could not preorder the phone if i was paying at full price.

anyone preorder from rs that is gonna pay the 449???

First at my local RS in Chicago's South Loop! Yay!:D

Let me guess, the one by Van Buren & Financial? :D

I work @ 100 S Wacker... would have been over there but I'm not eligible for an upgrade yet, so cannot pre-order. :(

anyone preorder from rs that is gonna pay the 449???

Seems both RS and BB won't allow it. Unless something changes, I fear folks like us will get to camp out outside of a Sprint Store.

The restriction seems silly as hell to me. After all, we STILL want to give them MONEY!!! Suspect they get better kick-backs from Sprint for line activations/renewed contracts.

Posting this in both sections as a possible extra $10 off (reciept for preorder has a survey at bottom for $10 off of $40) but the fine print might be excluding the purchase of a mobile device - so can anyone help?

*Offer valid with this coupon through 6/27/2010 at participating stores. Limit one coupon per person. Apple

Supposedly the last few digits of your pin number on your preorder reciept is the amount of radio shack evo preorders at that time. Mine says 13994 and I purchased mine 5/14 at 4:56 PM. Would anyone else like to share? I would like to see if this is true.
