rain on touchscreen

hi. if i am using my phone and i get some rain drops on my screen is that ok????

also if i wash my hands then use my phone and my hands are damp is that ok as well??

many thanks

henry

it is a plastic screen not glass

My touchscreen is glass so it's not a true comparison. Anyway, I use a Walgreens Lens Cleaner which is in a spray bottle. I spray once on my screen and wipe dry with a tissue.

Little drops of water should be okay, don't go crazy.

I only use water, with very very very very little amounts of soap if ever needed. Do not use 3rd party screen cleaners. There could be a coating on the screen that could be rubbed off, or you could damage the screen.

Better yet, I use Phantom Skinz screen protectors - they are truly smooth like the actual screen, but protect against scratches too. All my devices have these.

I always figure the problem isn't water droplets on the screen, it's the other places water might have gone, like inside the phone. Or the places it might run off the screen and go to.

There are also moisture sensors in the phone that might be used to justify voiding your warranty in the event of a hardware problem, even if the problem was unrelated to water exposure.

But yeah, a few droplets on the screen won't hurt, just wipe 'em off and check around your speaker and any openings in the case for droplets.
