random bootloop

last night I'm using my phone as usual, nothing out of the ordinary. Sending some messages on Skype. My phone suddenly reboots and goes into a boot loop, the Samsung i9100 logo comes up, screen goes black, logo comes up again, screen goes black, and this repeats.

strange thing is, last time i flashed anything was 3 weeks ago, I flashed LSN and have had no issues until this random bootloop. I tried a rom nuke last night and installed LSN again, same boot loop.

any suggestions please?

This sort of thing is not always easy to track down DeadBeginning, I'm afraid to say. It is usually a process of elimination as it could only be a certain set of circumstances that triggers it and there is no one cause.

If you are using a custom kernel that you have customised with, say, STweaks, it could be that your settings are too severe for your usage and need to be re-tweaked.

I notice that you have already done a ROM wipe and the only other thing I can suggest is that you bite the bullet and take the draconian step of doing the Full Monty.

I'm giving the Full Monty a go, reset to factory in recovery and it started up fine. so i reset to factory settings, erased SD and USB in Neat Rom itself.. just waiting a couple hours now to see how it goes, thanks for the help :)
