No wonder sometimes my display settings change by themselves! Good tip :)
 
Lol, I found this out a few days ago and was going to make a thread about it but too late now. Before I noticed that the brightness was changing randomly when I pulled down the notification bar...then I held my finger on the grey bar thing and swyped from left to right. Whala! The brightness was changing! No more brightness adjustment app on my homescreen! :p
 
The brightness adjustment via the notification bar feature has cropped up in a few threads related to people wondering why their brightness seemed to change for no reason ...

It behaves the same when you are using other launchers on this phone besides TouchWiz. I see it with LauncherPro and ADW.
