Help Random freezing and then restart problem

I bought the play yesterday brand new.

30 mins into random use I came across this problem, the phone will be running fine and then all of a sudden it will freeze and then restart on its own. its happened like 5 times already today.

i didnt install anything, only thing i did was add a few contacts.

also when i go to play a game, it will start up fine and then will just quit on its own, this happens 4 times out 10.

Im having a lot of difficulty using android 2.3, i have been a longggg time iphone guy and am starting to regret selling my iphone 4,

plz guys help me out.

Hmm, I thought I was the only one with this problem. I got mine on the 10th, brand new as well (all the clear protectors and everything still in tact). Within 5 minutes of using it, I noticed a few issues:

- Serious lag when navigating (scrolling through pages, "pinching" the Home Screen to show the overview, in the browser when loading the pages as well as scrolling). Gaming was flawless though, no lag at all.

- Almost every application I opened would freeze and/or force close.

- No cell connection. 1 bar consistently, even when standing outside. No 3G either, would stay on Edge.

- Absolutely no connection to the Android Market.

Oddly enough, these issues only lasted until the next morning. I don't know how but everything corrected itself. I wish I knew what was wrong. I thought the phone was defective and was going to bring it back the next day, after work. I felt it wasn't necessary after the phone miraculously started working. I haven't had any problems since but the "pinching" action on the Home Screen is still a bit laggy, 9/10 times.

I suppose these are common issues with this phone? Has anyone else noticed this with their phone?
 
I hope I don't have those problems. It is a big adjustment over the iPhone OS.
I'm a big gammer though and the iPhone sucks for games.
 
list your carrier folks , i cant tell if your verizon vodafone ect. If your verizon your going to experience network issues since verizon employees are on strike . They are suppose to go to work today but if their demands are not metthey will be less productive. The restart problem try to pop off andback on your battery see if the problem persist.
 
Wow I have had this phone for a little over a month and installed a 16GB SD card which is now full of apps/games/emulators etc..... and I have never had ANY restarts or freezes. I have had a few apps force close on me but thats it.
